Social Media Policy

The County of Prince Edward reserves the right to immediately remove content, including public comments, from County social media sites which meet any of the following criteria:

  • The comment is obscene or uses profanity;
  • The comment attacks or threatens another person;
  • The comment misrepresents the source of the comment;
  • The comment gives out an individual’s personal information;
  • The comment promotes unlawful discrimination;
  • The comment is clearly off topic;
  • The comment advocates illegal activity;
  • The comment includes spam or links to other sites;
  • The comment promotes particular services, products or political organizations; or
  • The comment infringes on copyrights or trademarks.
