Juvenile Probation & Parole
The Tenth District Court Service Unit (CSU), also commonly referred to as Juvenile Probation and Parole, is a component of the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). DJJ enhances public safety by providing effective accountability measures and interventions that improve the lives of court-involved youth up to the age of 21 and prepares them for success as productive citizens. The 10th CSU provides domestic and delinquent intake services, juvenile probation, and parole services to the Counties of Buckingham, Appomattox, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Prince Edward, and Mecklenburg. We also partner with our local community services board and local service providers to provide mental health, substance abuse services, and detention alternative programs.
