Joint Public Notice: In accordance with the requirements of CFR, Title 42, Chapter 116, the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), the Farmville-Prince Edward Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) provides public notice of the availability of information regarding chemical and hazardous materials and emergency response plans. This information is available for public review in the Prince Edward County Administrator’s Office, 111 South Street, 3rd Floor, Farmville, VA and the Farmville Fire Department, 1000 West Third Street, Farmville, VA.

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room in the County Courthouse, 111 N. South Street, Third Floor, Farmville.

Planning Commission Meetings

The Prince Edward County Planning Commission meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the County Courthouse, 111 N. South Street, Third Floor, Farmville.

 

The July 15, 2025 Planning Commission meeting has been canceled. The next regular meeting will be held August 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

 

 

 

Comprehensive Plan Meetings

The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission held meetings alternate months, at the Robert Russa Moton Museum, at 6:00 p.m., on February 22, 2024, April 18, 2024, June 20, 2024, August 29, 2024 and October 23, 2024. The Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors met jointly with the Planning Commission for a Comprehensive Plan Final Review Work Session on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 5:30 .m. at the Moton Museum, 900 Griffin Blvd., Farmville, VA.

The Prince Edward County Industrial Development Authority meets on the fourth Friday of the month at 8:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room, in the County Courthouse, 111 N. Prince Edward County Tourism Council
