Mackenzie Tate Recognized as March 2026 Employee of the Month

Tate Recognized for Dedication, Professionalism and Positivity
FARMVILLE, Va. (March 11, 2026) – At its March meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized Mackenzie Tate, Senior Permit Technician in the Department of Community Development, as the County’s March Employee of the Month. Since joining the County team in July 2024, Tate has quickly made a positive impact on the department and the customers it serves. The Community Development Department routinely receives compliments from residents, builders, and contractors who appreciate the assistance and guidance she provides.
“Mackenzie brings professionalism, patience, and deep knowledge of the permitting and building processes, which enables her to help residents and contractors navigate the process with confidence,” said Phillip Moore, County Building Official. “Her commitment to customer service and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of our department, and we are proud to see her recognized as Employee of the Month.”
The County’s Employee of the Month program recognizes employees who provide exceptional service to residents while demonstrating the County’s core values: Customer Service, Teamwork, Innovation & Initiative, Attitude Displayed, and Positive Action.
