Prince Edward County Tourism has launched a newly enhanced ExplorePrinceEdward.com, giving visitors an even better way to discover, plan, and experience everything Prince Edward County has to offer. The website improvements were made possible through funding from a Virginia Tourism Corporation Destination Marketing Organization Grant, which supports initiatives that strengthen tourism across the Commonwealth.
The new website features improved navigation, updated destination information, and an expanding collection of original blog content that inspires travelers to turn a day trip into a weekend getaway. From seasonal itineraries and family friendly adventures to dining guides and hidden gems, the blogs help visitors explore Prince Edward County in new ways while highlighting experiences and itineraries throughout the year.
A major focus of the new website is showcasing Prince Edward County's unique agritourism offerings, giving visitors opportunities to experience local farms, markets, and rural attractions that celebrate the county's agricultural heritage. The site also highlights the county's three Virginia State Parks, including High Bridge Trail State Park, Sailor's Creek Battlefield Historical State Park, and Twin Lakes State Park, making it easier for outdoor enthusiasts to plan hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, camping, and history filled adventures.
To encourage visitors to extend their stay, ExplorePrinceEdward.com features expanded lodging information, making it simple to find accommodations ranging from boutique hotels and charming cottages to campgrounds and unique overnight experiences.
"The new ExplorePrinceEdward.com allows us to better tell the story of Prince Edward County," said Chelsey White, Director of Economic Development, Tourism and Grants. "The new blogs and enhanced content help visitors discover experiences they may not have known existed, while making it easier to plan a trip that includes our parks, agritourism destinations, local businesses, and overnight accommodations."
"Tourism continues to be an important part of Prince Edward County's economy," said Douglas P. Stanley, County Administrator. "The new website allows us to create a stronger marketing tool that showcases our community and encourages visitors to spend more time exploring everything Prince Edward County has to offer."
