CITIZEN VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY

 

To encourage citizen participation in our local government, the County of Prince Edward advertises vacancies on county boards, commissions and committees, etc., which call for citizen representation.  The following positions have vacancies or incumbents with expiring terms, some of whom are eligible for re-appointment:

Notes:

  1. The Board of Supervisors makes a recommendation to the Circuit Court Judge for positions on the BZA.
  2. The Board of Supervisors has voted to realign the Planning Commission.Vacancies are now filled by election district.Individuals wishing to apply for the current “county positions” must live in District 1 (Farmville), District 4 (Hampden), or District 8 (Farmville-Center).

 

Citizens interested in being considered must submit a Citizen Volunteer Application to the County Administrator’s Office by not later than Monday, December 1, 2025.  Appointments are anticipated at the December 9, 2025 Board meeting.  Applications are available on the County’s web site at www.co.prince-edward.va.us or in the County Administrator’s Office, 111 N.
