July 31, 2025 RELEASE: IMMEDIATE CONTACT: Len Stevens 434-856-8176 (office) Len.Stevens@VDOT.Virginia.Gov EMERGENCY BRIDGE CLOSURE, PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY LYNCHBURG — Motorists should expect delays due to an emergency bridge closure on Route 612 in Prince Edward County. Route 612 (Sandy River Rd.) is now temporarily closed from Route 613 to Route 641. The Department of Transportation will provide adequate signs for the closure and detour of this portion of Route 612 (Sandy River Rd.) and will use Route 641 (Williams Rd.) to Route 621 (Grape Lawn Rd.), to Route 629 (Twin Lakes Rd.), to Route 613 (Indian Springs Rd.), back to Route 612 (See Map)
