Save on Your Personal Property Taxes-High Mileage Adjustment Available

If your passenger vehicle or motorcycle has high mileage, you may qualify for a High Mileage Adjustment to reduce your personal property tax.  (Note: Check mileage charts here.)

To apply, please submit:

• A completed Application for High Mileage Adjustment; and
• A copy of your current Virginia State Inspection or a valid oil change/maintenance record.

Applications are available:

• Online at https://www.co.prince-edward.va.us/Departments/Commissioner-of-the-Revenue
• Or apply in person at the Commissioner of Revenue's Office, located on the 2nd Floor of the Prince Edward County Courthouse.

Deadline:

For 2025, the applications deadline is December 5.

Effective January 1, 2026, the annual deadline will be March 1.
