Who Can Submit a Nomination?
- County employees
- County supervisors and department heads
- Members of the public who have received outstanding service from a County employee
Anyone who has witnessed exceptional performance or service may submit a nomination.
Nominate a County Employee for Outstanding Service
Prince Edward County is committed to recognizing and celebrating the hard work, dedication, and exceptional service of our employees. The Employee Recognition Program allows coworkers, supervisors, and community members to highlight individuals or teams who go above and beyond in serving the County and its residents.
This program is designed to encourage a culture of appreciation, reinforce our core values, and showcase the remarkable efforts of County employees who demonstrate excellence in their roles.
Core Values Displayed
Nominations can be submitted for employees or teams who demonstrate one or more of the following core values through their work and actions:
- Customer Service
Delivering exceptional service to the public and coworkers with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
- Teamwork
Collaborating effectively, promoting a cooperative work environment, and contributing to the success of others.
- Innovation
Bringing forward creative ideas, improving processes, or developing solutions that enhance County operations.
- Initiative
Taking proactive steps to address needs, solve problems, and go beyond what is expected without being asked.
- Attitude Displayed
Demonstrating a positive, professional attitude that encourages and motivates others.
- Positive Action
Making a meaningful difference through actions that benefit the County, its departments, or the public.
Nomination Guidelines
Before submitting a nomination, please review the following guidelines:
- Include specific examples of the employee's actions or contributions.
- Describe how their efforts positively impacted the County, a department, or the public.
- Keep submissions respectful and professional.
You may nominate multiple employees or teams, but each nomination must be submitted separately.
How to Submit a Nomination
Submitting a nomination is quick and easy!
- Complete the Online Form
- Fill out the required fields, including your name, contact information, and details about the nominee.
- Be descriptive in explaining why this employee deserves recognition.
- Review Your Nomination
- Double-check your information for accuracy and clarity.
- Submit Electronically
- Once submitted, your nomination will be reviewed by the Employee Recognition Committee.
- You will receive a confirmation email after submission.

Selection Process
The Employee Recognition Committee will review all nominations monthly and select honorees based on the strength and impact of the nomination, as well as how well the nominee demonstrated the County’s core values.
