Sealed Bids on behalf of Prince Edward County, Virginia, will be received in the County Administrator’s Office, 111 N. South Street, 3rd Floor, Farmville, Virginia 23901, until but no later than 11:00AM, local time prevailing, July 3, 2025 and then publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the following:

Invitation for Bid: Demolition & Construction - Worsham Convenience Site

Scope of Work: Demolition and disposal of existing facilities located at Worsham Convenience Site, as well as construction of a new convenience site facility at the same location. Construction shall include, but not be limited to grading, minor clearing, site preparation, drainage and stormwater facilities, wastewater runoff collection and storage (leachate drains & tank). Also to include entrance reconstruction at County Shop Road, heavy duty asphalt and concrete pavement construction for dumpster/compactor pads, drive aisles and parking areas, curb & gutter, bumper blocks and ancillary site improvements. Work to complete the construction will require erosion and sediment control measures, pavement markings and miscellaneous roadway signing, installation of chain link privacy fencing and gate(s), landscaping, seeding, and site stabilization measures. The Contractor will also be responsible for quality control (QC) materials testing, construction survey and various ancillary items required to construct the public waste convenience site.

Upon request, electronic documents will be provided via e-mailed download link File Transfer at no cost to the bidder, or provided on a CD or flash drive for a non-refundable fee of $15.00 if picked up or $25.00 if delivered. Electronic Documents: Project documents (Invitation for Bids, Project Manuals, Drawings, and any other applicable documents) provided electronically are solely for use by the Bidder for the convenience of preparing a bid response for the project. Electronic documents shall not be altered, and shall not be reproduced for any purpose other than the express purpose stated above. Any conclusion or information obtained or derived from such electronic files will be at the Bidder’s risk. If there is a discrepancy between the electronic files and the hard copies on file with the County, the hard copies govern. If CAD files are available, the County does not release, nor authorize its engineering and design consultants to release them prior to execution of the Notice to Proceed
