Cannery Team Excels, Recognized as February Employees of the Month

Employee of the Month, February 2025, Rodney Scott & Nathan Price

FARMVILLE, Va. (April 14, 2025) –At its April 8th meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized the County’s FebruaryTeam of the Month, as the February Board meeting was cancelled due to weather. 

The Board congratulated Rodney Scott, Cannery Manager, and Nathan Price, Cannery Assistant, for  their support of the Piedmont Health District and numerous other agencies during the two-day venison stew cooking and canning project. Over 800 quarts and 100 plus gallons of stew were cooked and canned and donated to FACES for distribution to those in need throughout our region.

Amy Beatson, with the Piedmont Health District, wrote in her nomination, “Rodney and Nathan were a great asset. They were knowledgeable and provided support and guidance in such a positive manner. These gentlemen shared a wealth of knowledge and were the backbone that made this project a success. Their work ethic, knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to lend a helping hand make Rodney and Nathan excellent Employee of the Month recipients!”
