At its May 12, 2026 meeting, the Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors recognized Gray Comeau, an Appomattox County native and recent graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, for his service as a spring semester intern in the County Administrator’s Office.  During his internship, Gray assisted with several county initiatives, including the budget process, records retention efforts, and outside agency funding analysis.

“Gray approached each project with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn,” said Douglas P. Stanley, County Administrator. “We appreciate the time and energy he invested in serving our community and wish him continued success in the future.”

Prince Edward County regularly hosts student interns from local colleges and universities to provide hands-on experience in public service, local government operations, and community engagement.  Students gain meaningful real-world experience while contributing to projects and initiatives that support the County and its residents.
