UPDATE: Deadline Extended for Penalty-Free Payment of County Taxes

UPDATE: TAX PAYMENT EXTENSION The deadline for penalty-free payment of County taxes for the 2025 Tax Year has been extended through Friday, December 12, 2025. Taxpayers may also use the drop box located in the parking lot of the Prince Edward County Courthouse for check or money order payments. No cash, please.

County Officials Identify EMS Levy Taxation Error-Corrections Underway

FARMVILLE, VA – The Prince Edward County Treasurer and Commissioner of the Revenue have identified and corrected a minor system error that affected certain 2025 tax bills for mobile homes. The issue involved an incorrect EMS levy rate applied to certain mobile homes taxed under the real estate rate instead of the personal property rate. Click to read more.
