Potential Measles Exposure in Central and Southwest Regions of VA Published on December 17, 2025 RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Department of Health was notified of a confirmed measles case in a person who visited the Central & Southwest Regions of Virginia while infectious. The confirmed case is a resident of another state. To protect the patient’s privacy, Health officials are coordinating an effort to identify people who might have been exposed.
